Do you go to auditions in your community? When you go, do you pay attention? Do you watch different performers and how they act at an audition?

Are you professional in your dealings with people who could cast you?

Do you read books about acting? Do you take classes?

Do you take notes when you watch tv, movies? Why does one performance work well. Why don't others. Why are some actors more highly regarded than others?

Do you read plays, out loud? Do you practice cold readings on your own?

Turn to a page.
Pick a part.

Sell it. Convincingly. To YOU.
Do it again, differently. Which changes make it better? Which make it worse?

Do you work on it yourself? You are in charge of this thing called your life. Work hard. Audition. Get called back. Don't get called back. Rework how you act at auditions if that is your problem.

Be willing to read anything at an audition. Be READY to read any part cold. Practice at home with a mirror.
