Does this site really work?

does this site really work?

I am new to the industry and looking to get an agent. Does anyone know if this site works, or if you are better off getting an individual agent to do all of the "dirty" work for you? Thank you for your help!

Yes this site does work. I've gotten jobs from this site. It's a matter of properly positioning your self, with good photos on your web page etc.

& being consistent at checking your calendar and following thorough with submitting your information. But you have to be persistant & consistant.

Getting an agent is good to so you can have all of your avenues open.

You can't expect this site to be your agent. You have to be consistant and go after
the auditions and jobs. I got my first film through this site, and just got another
audition today. So it works. Now if you are not getting calls, there must be a reason.
The headshot gets you your auditions... so look there. If you are using a snapshot
from home and not professional headshots maybe you should look there. Make sure
your submissions fit the part. No reason to waste someone's time if you are not what
they are looking for, but if you submit enough and work on local theatre projects to
fill a resume, sooner or later you will start getting auditions, and then call backs and
then parts.

Remember... to get the audition you need a good headshot and resume....your
experience and personality and preparedness gets the job...so work on your
monologue if acting, and work on your look and gaining modeling experience if you
want to model, take classes and get prepared.
